2nd mate- Ibiza- March-October 2021
For 2021, I am looking for 2nd mate who will work individually with a captain on a 23m true classic Herreshoff NYYC 40 schooner from 1915.
Movie legend Warren Beatty used to own Vixen. Activities are around 25 hrs of maintenance work p/week and besides, keeping boat in safe waters when wind conditions are bad + crewing on charter days together with the captain.
It's not a well paid job but you can live on the boat so you have little expenses. You get a small basic salary and money per charter day. If crew brings charters they get 30% of day price.
Experience is a plus but not essential but a good motivation and warm-heartedness is.
Its a great way to get to know boat life with all its disciplines in a season.
Boat will be on anchor so person must be able to handle sea movements.
Start around 1/2 March. Captain and crew can use boat as they like around Ibiza as long as ready for charter. You will have your own cabin with toilet and shower.
