Description

Ahoy! Exciting opportunity for one (or two if a couple/friends) crew to join us on an offshore citizen science equator crossing passage.

Start Puerto Vallarta, Pacific Coast Mexico > remote Pitcairn Islands (stay 7 days) > Mangareva, Gambier Islands, French Polynesia.

Estimated 3200nm to Pitcairn and further 290nm to the Gambier Islands where you can get Air Tahiti flights.

We are a sailing family of four - kids aged 8 and 6 - who live aboard our ocean-going sailboat. Skipper, Duncan Copeland has a lifetime of offshore sailing experience. We run an ocean conservation .org and participate in citizen science initiatives when sailing. We cover all boat related costs & ask for a contribution to food.

Ideal crew:
- confident offshore sailor
- capable of solo watches day/night
- cheerful, positive team player
- interest in citizen science & conservation
- flexible diet
- happy around kids

**bonus points for marine biologists / medics / skippers!
